If you’re planning on throwing an event and need some inspiring food ideas, don’t look further. I can certainly say that The Best Party Buffet Food Recipe Ideas on our blog is a great way to start your event! Whether you’re throwing a party or simply just doing a small gathering we created this blog so it can be easier to find what you’re looking for right on this page.
YumI know how it can be SUPER overwhelming to plan an event! As shown above, we set up a party buffet food table for a large party. This buffet table can also be planned for a housewarming gathering or even a simple conversational gathering! In reality, we know! Especially when you want to make everything yourself! So I decided to create a food station that’s elegant and creative for your guests to enjoy the small bite-sized appetizers. This allows your guests to be able to taste everything on the table without getting so full by serving themselves full platters!
We specifically tried to make The Best Party Buffet Food Recipe Ideas for you with step-by-step tutorial links to make these delicious recipes for your next event! If you notice, the menu we created is mostly cold rather than hot food. This makes it easier when setting up and maintaining the table and it allows you to spend more time with your guests. We arranged each food type in its color-coordinated platter either lining them individually into rows or placing them in a platter to form a clean look.
The first thing to remember is to include levels of height in the table design. Overall, we balanced it with some high and low platters. This allows the table to flow better to the eye! It’s better to the eye than having everything lay flat on the table. Before you start setting up, take a step back away from your table and try to visualize the layout.
If you don’t have that imagination try to place each empty platter before you start placing the food on the table. Generally, I usually like to color coordinate and place smaller delicate types of foods in the front and bulkier types of foods in the center. I like to place the dessert containers usually towards the back or the sides. Hence, it all depends on the type of food you will serve. So see what looks good to your eye and just do it! I never go with what
Our recipes cater to between 45-55 people, so it doesn’t matter if there are a few or more guests it should be plenty to feed and have some left over. Therefore, each recipe is made to be super easy. Despite the beauty of this table, everything tastes amazing as well! Making salads for your buffet table can be deceiving because of the serving cups you place them in. But, we noticed that even if you place them into individual cups you’ll end up having some left over. However, you can place the extra salad in a serving bowl and allow your guests to help themselves. All you need to provide are plates and serving utensils for your guests. Overall, it’s always good to have a variety of different types of food for those that have dietary restrictions. Therefore, we included some vegetarian appetizers, salads, and charcuterie boards for their convenience!
Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten around to making all these video recipes available but in the present time, we have included other video links to similar recipes as the ones you see on our table setup. Tabbouleh – Healthy Parsley and Bulgur Salad
This lovely healthy Tabbouleh salad originates from Lebanon and Syria. Overall, growing up, this salad was the #1 go-to salad next to each meal! Even though I love any type of salad, this one was one of my favorites! When you place these ingredients together, it comes out so delicious! Every time I order Lebanese food from a restaurant, I get a side salad of tabbouleh when I order a meal, and sometimes my salad is drowning in dressing, or sometimes there isn’t enough dressing. Growing up, my mother would make it more on the wet side (not drowning) which is still great, but I prefer in between. So I decided to create my version of tabbouleh salad which is not too dry and not too wet, it’s right in between.
Ingredients:
- 3 Bunches of Parsley
- 1 tsp Aleppo Pepper
- 2 small Red Onions
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 5 Roma Tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp 7 Spice
- 1/2 bunch of Fresh Mint
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2-3 Lemons
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup #1 fine Bulgur
- 1/2 tsp Sumac
- 1 cup of room temp Water
- 1/4 cup of Olive Oil
Prep Time: 20 min (Lots of chopping takes time.) 😉
