Zesty Basil 🌿 Swiss Pesto Buns

These Zesty Basil 🌿 Swiss Pesto Buns – That Are Out of This World! They are a one-pan recipe and it’s so easy to make! Despite the energy of yumminess it gives off, it’s totally easy to make and these delicious buns are filled with ready-made basil spread, swiss cheese, and spinach. Basically, you can also make it with ready-made Sweet Hawaiian Buns if you want to add sweetness with that zest! Ultimately, these buns are perfect for those bite-size appetizers for any party!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Baby Spinach
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • 6 Slices of Swiss Cheese
  • 8 oz Pesto sauce
  • 1 package of Dinner Rolls or Hawaiian Rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and place a sheet of foil under your bread buns. Cut through bread buns with a bread knife to separate the top from the bottom layer. Support the bread with your hand as you cut through.
  2. Separate the top layer from the bottom layer and set the top layer aside. Spread half of your pesto sauce on the inside of the bread layer. Place baby spinach on top of the pesto spread, and sprinkle some salt and pepper over the spinach
  3. Place your Swiss Cheese slices over the spinach by covering the entire area with cheese. Place the top layer back on top. Put the bread buns into a baking tray. Spread the rest of the pesto sauce over the top of the buns. Bake for 20 min at 350°
